This Privacy policy describes how ReadingKit ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information we DO NOT collect

We do not collect any information you provide including name, books, logs, reminders preferences etc. All the data is stored only locally on your device.

Information we DO collect

• Device information: Platform (iOS/Android), operating system version, and app version
• Usage analytic: How you interact with the app, collected through PostHog analytics
• Error & Crash reports: Technical information about app crashes and errors, collected through Sentry
• Session recordings: PostHog may record user sessions to help us improve the app experience
• Purchase information: Subscription and payment data processed through RevenueCat and Apple/Google's payment systems

Data retention

We do not store any personal data on our servers. All the data is stored locally on your device. The data stored by 3rd parties are done in accordance with their own policies.

Data security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. The 3rd please be aware that no security measure is perfect or impenetrable.

How to delete personal data

From your Home page, tap on the profile icon from the top-right corner, go to "Delete data" and confirm the deletion.

Push notifications

If you have opted-in to receive push notifications, we may send you daily reminders. You can opt-out of these notifications at any time through the app settings. The notifications are sent locally.

License grant and restrictions

License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works of the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems
• Use automated scripts, bots, or similar tools to access the App
• Abuse the chat services or AI interactions in a manner that violates these Terms or exceeds reasonable usage limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
• Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from the App
• Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer your rights to use the App
• Use the App to harm minors in any way
• Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

Changes to this Privacy policy

We may update this Privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy policy in the app
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
